Monday's recap.
We start with where we left it off: Franco seriously thinking Gonzalo will kill him of a heart attack, and all of them figure out it was Sergio who forged the signature. Meanwhile, Diego has just got off a cab, and a woman is following him. Outside the network, she says she needs to talk to him because it’s very important. He wants to send her his show’s producer, but she insists. Inside, Nacho, Alvaro and Lily are impressed with the huge amount of emails they have received from charities that want Pells’ help. But as always, they all believe he’s up to something.
Amanda goes in and asks Sergio to forge Pells’ signature in the contract if he wants to keep his new car. Back with Diego, he asks the woman if he has any evidence of what she’s saying. She shows just that and he asks if she’s willing to talk on camera. The Pells’ show ends and Sol says she’s shocked. Franco comes in and says Amanda wants to talk to Sol…just because he wants to talk to Gonzalo about what he just did. And that if he wants to do the donation, it’ll have to be on his terms. Gonzalo (as Martin) even tries to make things right with his childhood friend, but he accepts just because the kids need the check.
What’s next? The donation has become a public show with Alvaro giving orders from a van. At Mega News, Planes asks Lily to bring the woman a mic. After what happened last time, she’s worried that this alleged interview will bring repercussions. But he’s on the air, and the secret is…the woman claims to be Martin Pells’ mother.
The aftermath comes quicker than expected: Franco and Ricardo are trying to find Amanda, who went to Nuñez’s office to shove the contract with Martin’s signature on her face. It is there where Amanda is shocked to see this woman in Diego’s show. But soon she’s back, angering Franco as to why she was out with a contract while more important things happened.
Super Escalator 700 ad. Way too sexist!
Sol and Gonzalo are returning from the orphanage, talking about how she likes this new side of him, and as soon as they set foot there, people start asking questions about something he has no idea about: His mother. Therefore he feels overwhelmed and asks the reporters for time. Once the show’s off the air, the staff is all over her, ready for pampering. Something similar happens with the network employees.
Amanda goes to get Gonzalo just as Lily informs them his mother is waiting at the studio. Sol says that whatever he needs, she texts him. But as always, Tomas has to get in between. Now it’s starting to become annoying, if you ask me. On another place, Ricardo wants to talk to Nacho and Lily…just to remind them that any material that is going to be broadcasted has to go through him first…or threaten them that they could run out of a job.
Nacho goes to vent out…or better make out with Daniela…too bad a mystery person caught that fest on a cell phone. As that happens, Sol calls Diego to ask what are his intentions, to what he simply replies he wants to give Martin that back something that he lost, not a hidden agenda. After he gets off the phone, he asks Lily that they all take care of their ‘exclusive’: car, hotel, wardrobe and more.
On Franco’s office, all of them are discussing about the possible meeting with this woman. Tomas wants Martin to take it easy because it could be a scam, and he replies that he wants to meet the woman personally. More surprisingly, he’s treated right instead of being asked to leave.
Daniela brings Sol the DVD of Diego’s show, and wants to know how Martin’s mother looks like. After giving it a brief look, she says she’s lying because they don’t look alike so well. Ricardo informs Nacho, Lily and Charly that Martin wants to see her. But of course, they give her an express makeover.
Sol confronts Diego about he would do anything for an exclusive, and that he has no codes. And the mysterious hand is back, this time catching Lily and Nacho in action. Too bad Nacho gets an email with the incriminating evidence with Daniela. His freaked out face was priceless. Suspicion falls on Alvaro first, then Charly. Neither know what he’s talking about.
The moment of truth has arrived: Gonzalo is face to face with the woman, and they are left alone. He asks her about the coin, and she hopes she’ll forgive him someday. With that out of the way, Sergio says he shouldn’t get too involve with this issue. Martin is Martin. Gonzalo is Gonzalo.
On the air, Gonzalo says he’ll submit himself to a DNA test before calling Sol and Diego with him. Next, we see Diego reporting their arrival to the clinic and what he thinks if the DNA does reveal the woman’s his mother. Inside, Amanda meets with her brother, who leads them to the lab (but not before Amanda makes sure it’s all confidential). Franco is not trusting Dr. Wedell, but she says it’s OK while…switching blood samples?
Lily gets angry that Nacho was snooping on her computer, while Sergio bothered Tomas. Back from the lab, Gonzalo and Amanda inform Franco about the latest developments (a little fight included), before she and her brother head to the apartment where the real Pells is at. Dr. Wedell will take blood from him, and she asks him that it stays between brothers.
Tomas and Charly are on the set, talking about mothers, and Sol and Gonzalo share a moment. She feels happy that he’s sharing this process with her and asks if he has an intuition about the woman, and in between the coin comes into play, a coin she doesn’t know anything about. Nacho is making his list of suspects as the mystery hand catches him. And Amanda asks his brother that, not only she wants the blood compared to the woman’s…but with Gonzalo’s.
You wanted news? Now you have them. Till next episode!
