Los Exitosos Pells / Episode 5

Thursday's recap.

We start with where we left it off: Gonzalo/Martin being taken away as he’s hyperventilating and Sol taking over the news herself. Poor thing, he had to be taken out between two people thanks to his anxiety. Of course, everyone is concerned with him…especially Tomas, who is watching it all on TV and calls his informant (Charly). His suspicions relay on Sol, who would want nothing more than to kill him.

Gonzalo needs to rest as Sol finishes the show herself, and everybody else seems stressed because of that. Charly informs Franco and Amanda that it might be an allergic reaction to something (Tomas will be told that), and that he will be recovering in private. But they start freaking out when Gonzalo says he no longer wants to be Martin Pells.

Lily gives Sol a massage because she’s stressed, and Gonzalo is left alone. Franco visits him on his dressing room to let him know the treatment will be suspended, and that he didn’t blow anything. Once he’s feeling better he’ll leave with Sol, and he blames Sergio for giving him the medications that they were way too strong. On the other hand, Sol is being congratulated by everyone because of her good work, and they think she’s acting differently.

Power Juice K ad. I want one of those to do wonders.

Now a fully recovered couple leaves the network with everybody watching, some happy and others sad. Ricardo thinks they won’t be so lucky so time, and Amanda asks if he questions Franco’s authority, and even blames it on fate. But can’t be helped. Amanda’s a bitch and threatens him with being fired.

Diego is supposed to be shooting promos, but instead he overhears Daniela and Charly having a conversation about the couple, and mostly about Sol. On the car, he talks about his bad luck…but surprisingly with good humor about what comes next. Diego calls her, but she ignores. As I said, if only she knew she’s with a stranger. Speaking of Planes, he’s with Daniela leaving the set, and he’s being way too cocky.

Arriving home, Sol tells him about how he fainted before she volunteers to cook for him. Gonzalo, of course, is excited over that. He chooses ravioli, and they make a bet about their outcome. Immediately, they get to the task of cooking together. As she leaves, his contact lens falls into the boiling pan, but before he can take it out she comes back. He (now wearing glasses) ignores Sergio’s call as she asks that he gets the oven ready. That ignored call pisses Amanda off, and she calls him an ignorant.

But he got it back, and she again ignores Planes (may I say the lens was recovered). Both share a beer and she asks him when he found out he was gay. The answer was at the age of 12. Next thing we know is both are enjoying a romantic dinner. She won, and they make a toast to “us”.

The morning after, Sergio comes in again with exactly the same routine as the previous day. Sergio is quite nosy, if you ask me. But anyways…Nuñez is at the same bar, and hands Diego a tape about a high society crime. She wants him to give the news, in exchange that once he’s famous Planes will go to the competition.

At Mega News, Sol is at the meeting wanting something regarding ecology when Martin comes in. He’s interested in a more human note he wants to cover personally, and Gonzalo wants to cover it personally. For that, he goes with Sergio (who thinks he’s crazy), but Echague is stubborn as a mule. Tomas calls him, and quickly gets him off his back.

Sol is talking with Daniela about her relationship with Martin and how she realized she could go on and become his friend as they see Diego on air about to go on with this exclusive. Ricardo asks from Franco’s office if that was checked as Gonzalo goes to visit a woman in need, who is impressed of being in a TV set and that Martin Pells is with her. From the switch, Alvaro is like ‘what the hell?’. I guess that’s everyone’s impression as he go on to interview her over a businessman.

Diego is now at Nuñez’s office watching Martin interview the woman and she says she’s got a bomb in her hands for him. The rating, as always, goes to the roof with anything this man does, and everyone is loving it…Charly’s kicked off the switch. When they go off the air, Sol congratulates him, and they were sharing quite a romantic moment…until Tomas gets in the way. I don’t know what he did, but he’s off his back for now. At Franco’s office, Ricardo is still mistrusting, but Franco’s happy.

Easy saw 300 ad.

Outside the network, the press ask both about this social motivation he suddenly has before they head back home. She says she’ll go take a bath and starts taking off her clothes in front of him. Of course, Gonzalo can’t contain the fact that he’s aroused to the max and the offer that he goes in to keep talking confirms that.

You wanted news? Now you have them. Till next episode!

Nicodrina.
