Well, we're back to the old system of recaps. And the only conclussion one can jump into after watching this episodes: The ladies were the center of the action. There was that, drama and a last-minute twist. So let's get this show on the road, shall we?
The first high point must've been the comeback of kick-ass Renee Walker into the action after being a couple of hours away at Jack's apartment (you guys use your imagination as to what was up to there) until Chloe calls her and asks for help into finding Jack. Since I substain the theory that there IS something there between those two, it was the cutest thing when she ran to his side and took a little care for him when he was taken to an ambulance, and she shot the bad guys. Now all I ask is for a little kiss. Please? So I can win a bet?? And as for Jack, he and Cole Ortiz make a good team when they were in the shootout against the bad guys (neither of them, nor the team of agents that were with them were at CTU), and it gave us lots of the action we're used to see. But no one can deny that Jack's previous health issues are catching up to him.
All that information as to where the guys who are in posession of the fuel rods came from asking Kayla Hassan a few questions. She still can't believe that the man she thought she loved would do that all on purpose, and that he is actually alive. I feel sorry for her, but at least after a trip to Medical, she was back at the U.N. with her parents (both of them didn't have a strong participation, in my humble opinion).
The other field that offered a lot of good moments is CTU, and especially, Chloe O'Brian. As one of the baddies put it: 'CTU is blind, deaf and dumb', after that EMP strike at the end of the last hour. But, even though they're working with the basic systems and funny-looking flashlights, she has found a way to get the systems up and running and not let the terrorists who have the rods smuggle them to Manhattan and cause a tragic attack. And she gets even more suspicious when a dude from NSA (was it the same that Jack called after it all went off?) showed up and asked Hastings for collaboration. But as soon as she stepped in to help, she was suspicious AND EVEN PULLED A GUN ON HIM!! :D Isn't she awesome? Hastings is pissed, but finally he redeems himself by not having her arrested and see what she can achieve while locked in the server room. Risky, but it worked out. And the CTU head won some of my respect.
And finally, there's Dana Walsh. I just KNEW there was something weird about her!! Not only she was being pressured by the parole officer, but she took justice in her own hands and strangled him!! :O :O :O. And if that wasn't enough...SHE'S WORKING FOR THE BAD GUYS AND WILL HELP FROM THE INSIDE!! Smart, unexpected move...but still, we've seen this so many times *eye roll*
So that's it. The clock keeps ticking...but not for long :(. Final season...
