September 5th recap.
22
We start from where we left off: Sol informing Franco that she’s through with this whole scam, and how many years she has spent in this, leaving aside projects and stuff. But Andrada pulls out a box that contains the photocopies of the contracts (the originals being in a safe deposit box) so that she gives them a read and thinks it twice that resigning isn’t so easy. As she walks off, he reminds her that next time she should announce herself with the secretary.
Tomas explains that his strategy goes a little deeper than Charly believes and he says he needs his help and also of the professional type. Charly recommends a psychic but it’s to no avail. Meanwhile, Diego is still talking to Alvaro about the electricity stunt he pulled as payback for what Pells did to him. Surprisingly, Planes says he’s never had this type of desire, and says he doesn’t know whether to talk or not. Somehow, Diego is right. Alvaro’s daughter’s job is at stake here too.
Tomas has gone to a shrink to talk about his problems and his couple’s. He really wants a change, and takes note about what the therapist is saying that could help them out. With that out of the way, he goes to tell his boyfriend he’s changed and has lost happiness. Gonzalo is happy to hear him out, and that he’s being more mature. And that this has brought them a benefit. And then he goes to ask Charly to figure out what Pells would like. Charly asks what does he want. The answer? His boyfriend.
Sol is now at her dressing room checking the box when Daniela comes in and sees she’s destroyed. So she decides to confess her biggest secret that has to do with her father. Turns out this man scammed a lot of people in power positions, and she never quite figured him out. She was already working there when Franco found everything out and he put conditions to keep her father out of prison, so everything she does is to pay her father’s debt. Daniela is shocked to hear this confession.
Jessie has brought her father a cup of tea and tells her about Diego knowing about the electricity trick, and that has them threatened in order to keep his mouth shut. Charly tries to get out of Pells’ mouth what Tomas asked him to do. Gonzalo is tired and starts saying he wants to watch TV and eat home -made food. Tomas calls him and he just transmits the information.
Lily is making plans when Nacho comes in, asking what she’s doing. So she tells her mother about having to stay. Is it just me or the Triangle is back? Meanwhile, Diego is talking to Amanda as everybody else is calling it a day. When Gonzalo goes to Tomas’ place, he’s surprised to find the dish he wanted and the NBA game as Tomas is happy. Then they talk about a trip they made where they could do things in peace, but he has fallen asleep. Meanwhile, Sol is bored home alone.
The next morning, the two men are enjoying breakfast, and as soon as Gonzalo leaves, Tomas calls the therapist to ask for another session and also how it went (sorry, the therapist said that as he was throwing darts). The false Pells leaves to the house aboard the flower van, just to find Sol isn’t there, only a note.
At the apartment where they have the Pells in coma, Dr. Wedell is checking him out and the nurse also says she’s following instructions. As she escorts the doctor, we see something’s up with Martin. Meanwhile, at Mega News, Sol is talking to Daniela about the state of slavery she feels in. Then, she tells Lily that she needs the show to be taped because she has a personal issue that cannot wait. And in another part, Diego is talking to Alvaro about how he’s still undecided with talking. But as soon as the director sees Planes talking to Gonzalo, he feels offended.
Lily goes to Franco and Amanda with Sol’s request. They say it’s OK as long as Martin gives her a gift on camera. Amanda is impressed he gave in so easily because she has more power now. He will go choose the gift as Tomas is back with the therapist, saying how none of the things told worked. The advice he gives is that he should wait until realization hits Martin.
OMG! Martin Pells has woken up from the coma. He doesn’t know where he is or what happened, but finds a cell phone and dials Tomas’ number. Of course, he has no idea that the man he’s been with lately is an actor, so as soon as he hears that they’ll meet in the restaurant they used to, he’s thrilled…But Pells slips into coma once again.
Gonzalo and Sergio are talking over Chinese food when Marina calls and Sergio has to make up a lie that wasn’t credible at all. Meanwhile, Tomas has arrived to the restaurant feeling like the king of the world, unaware of what has happened. So he becomes boring as time passes and scolds Gonzalo when he calls, asking whether he forgot about that. So Tomas ends up calling the therapist and saying this didn’t work either.
At the taping, Sol is rehearsing what she should say when she gets the gift. But Gonzalo is clueless. Lily and Nacho comment that this is like a soap opera as Diego pays Alvaro a visit to make sure he doesn’t do anything more stupid, and he has made him a favor. Sol has left the set, so Gonzalo has to take care of the show himself. Afterwards, he goes to her dressing room and starts talking to her through the door to see if she wants to do something. But she’s sad, removing her makeup.
That personal issue was that she paid her father a visit after a long while. He is surprised to see her there and is proud of her and what she has built. The next day, she goes (unannounced, again) to Franco and says she has taken a choice and is aware of the consequences she should face. She wants to know when she’ll be free and he says that it’ll be a long while before she’s free and the debt is paid.
Jessie has brought something for someone who’s going to be interviewed later, and she comments that something doesn’t click to her about the relationship, and that maybe they’re together just for the money. Similar thing happens with Alvaro and Nacho. Meanwhile, Amanda comes in Franco’s office to inform him about the hallway gossip, and that Sol is staying and nobody’s buying it, they have to think of a plan.
Speaking of Sol, she is telling Daniela how she got to this situation, and that every cent she earns is to pay her father’s debt. Four years to go, she says. And all this is mixed with flashbacks of the couple when they were offered this charade. At Franco’s office, him, Ricardo and Amanda are brainstorming how to restore the relationship…with a huge tennis ball. She proposes that they are stranded on a deserted island, Franco says they have a baby and the attorney that they go to a restaurant and tell the press about it. But eventually Andrada has the bright plan, and enlists Amanda’s help. Both Sol and Gonzalo think it’s a bad idea, and that both won’t agree to it. But they are pressured with their weak points: the brother and the father.
Gonzalo calls Marina to tell her he needs to see her right away, so he’ll send someone to pick her up…as part of Amanda’s plan. Nacho tells Lily he booked a table for them to have dinner, but Sergio interrupts them, so Nacho says he better forget what he saw if he wants to be in one piece. Amanda goes to pick up Marina, and of course she’s behaving like a biatch. She tells him to stay there, and she sees people coming in and out, and Marina is escorted to Franco’s office to be given instructions when Gonzalo comes in. They kiss and make up quickly as he explains she should be discreet, but she’ll do anything for him.
Amanda storms in her office, mad to see Ricardo there. He believes she likes him, and hence they fight a lot. For her, he is talking nonsense. Marina is being prepped by Daniela and Lily, who seem to hate her. Franco tells Amanda they are running a huge risk with this as Gonzalo says he has nothing to do with this to Sol, but she’s throwing venom off her mouth and says he has no dignity as they’re about to go on the air.
In M news, Juan tells Nuñez that the competition is throwing THE bomb about the Pells as Marina is saying she’s the guilty part in this crisis, acting as if she were a stalker and that she’s sorry and looks up to Sol and all that. Nuñez looks as if she’s about to cry, but she has a plan to beat him within the law.
Off air, Sol runs off as Tomas says he’s got a bad feeling about Marina as Alvaro is questioning Planes. Marina approaches Gonzalo and she says they need to talk, but he says later. Then she goes to talk to Franco, who says she did great, but that it’s not over. He has just offered her a job and has to go to Ricardo’s office to arrange the whole thing. Then Amanda speaks Chinese, lol.
Everything has worked great, so they toast with champagne as the show comes to an end. Ricardo feels ignored as Tomas comes in to talk about what’s going on. They have a real kiss that Sol says he imagines it has rat poison, as Marina looks on.
You wanted news? Now you have them. Till next episode!
