Nicodrina's 24 Recaps: Day 8 / Hour 20

The last one for today...Hopefully, hours 21 & 22 will be done tomorrow.

Let's start with Dana Walsh. FINALLY the bitch gets what she deserved, at the hands of an angered Jack Bauer. But before that happened, it was him and Cole Ortiz that found her and saved her from the torture of the 'private security firm' guys. Of course, not because they care for her, but because she has a much bigger value, and because they need to get their hands on the audio file she has in a bank's safe deposit box.

This plot intertwines with Cole's, who faces Jack at one moment, arguing he's unable to do this...even leading to a fight between both men. It is him that escorts her into the bank, and that is with her when the box is brought. But of course, she had it planned that it would blow up, giving her a chance to knock him out, take a gun, the file, some money and run. For Dana...I don't if I should buy what she says whether she still cares for her ex-fiancé, and that she did it to get the russians out of their way (she even took the time to caress him briefly). And to get Bauer off her way as well, she calls 911 and pretends to be chased by a man with a gun. She runs off to the open, but Jack sees her and goes after her. When they reach a warehouse, or something like that, it is then that he looks at her with anger and pulls the trigger.

Back at CTU, Chloe is trying desperately to find Cole, who she considers a hostage of Bauer. Arlo and the rest of the agents help her in the quest of stopping the loose cannon. Poor O'Brian has had her fair share of issues in the past couple of hours as acting head (Ortiz gone MIA, Jack, the guys that took Dana that she didn't trust, etc...)

Connected to her situation, there's Charles Logan. As we saw, he has a parallel agenda, and he IS involved with Novakovic & Co. He continues to get in Taylor's head by suggesting his aide goes to CTU to assist Bauer's manhunt and that she just focuses on the Peace Agreement (she has to leave the press conference at a moment as Dahlia speaks). I feel really sorry for the President. She doesn't know what she's getting herself into by bringing in this evil person. The fact that his aide is at CTU (at O'Brian's shock) will only work things out in their favor. Looks to me like the stakes are raising up for the final four hours of this show.

This recap might've been a little shorter than what you guys usually see, but that was because it was because this episode pretty much had few major events and the stories of everybody were connected :)

Another action-packed hour with an unexpected conclussion...The clock keeps on ticking!

Till next recap, folks
