Los Exitosos Pells / Episode 18

Wednesday's recap.

We pick it up from where it left off: Sol fighting with Gonzalo about the low act he just committed and could he be so ambitious to want more when they are already rich. Nacho and Daniela are watching this and then Gonzalo takes her to her dressing room to talk. But she’s so upset all she does is throw things at him and not wanting to talk to him. He tries to explain with the truth, but she believes it’s an excuse. Lastly, that she doesn’t want to talk to him ever again unless it’s something professional before telling him Alvaro is at the hospital.

It is the two people that were watching the ones that start commenting about it, and the general feeling is that everyone’s sympathizing with the director. The first tells Lily and the second relies it on Charly, who in turns tells Tomas. He justifies it saying he’s going through a crisis stage.

Franco is talking on the phone when Gonzalo bursts in and demands to talk to him and know why he did that to an innocent man, just to separate him from Sol. He even has a smile as he quotes Maquiavelo. But Gonzalo IS certain that would last long, and heads out. Tomas rushes after him to talk, but he manages to get him off and drives away to see Alvaro at the hospital. Andrada tells his son he had nothing to do with this, and instead he says ‘Martin’ is mentally unstable.

Sol is crying, instead Daniela wants her to talk about this. Sol feels like a fool because she fell for the same trick twice. Just when she thought she was falling in love with him. After that explanation, the makeup artist is the first to hand over the pack of tissues.

At the hospital, he is instantly surrounded by people who admire him and even works out his singing skills to the receptionist so that she lets him into the Intensive Care area (I mean, if Mike Amigorena sang to me, I’d melt). His daughter tells him to go away as Gonzalo tries to talk to Alvaro, but that is more harmful than helpful, so it’s the doctor that has to take him away.

At Mega News, Nacho tells Diego about what happened, and Planes about how Sol is taking all this as Franco, Ricardo and Amanda toast. Gonzalo interrupts them with an angry face to tell him he’s gone for once and for all this time. But as always, Andrada tries to scare him, but he’d much rather go to jail than to continue. Franco can’t believe his choices.

Planes goes to talk to Sol and tells her he forgives her for everything, and that he’ll wait all the time she needs to be alone. Lily is planning the show with Nacho when Daniela comes in. So they change the subject to Alvaro and Tomas and Charly add to the drama: Martin has left, and no one has idea of how and what happened exactly. Tomas calls him but Gonzalo is driving off and wants to know nothing with these people. He has headed back to the theatre school, demanding for Sergio. They fight as he smokes a cigarette and says that it’s all over no matter what. They keep on blaming each other for a while, and when he looks himself in a mirror he still feels like Pells. Lily and Daniela make a deal with Nacho (who is coaching Alvaro’s replacement) as that happens.

Meanwhile, Franco & Co. are trying to figure out a solution as Tomas is still trying to reach his boyfriend. Oh, one of these days Nacho and Lily will get caught, and the reason she doesn’t want to go forward is to not hurt Lily…For that they’ll keep it a secret. Too bad he’s having two secret relationships because it’s the same thing all over again with the makeup artist.

Eventually Sergio and Gonzalo realize money comes and goes, and that they have each other at least. The doorbell rings and immediately they think it’s the police. But it’s Marina, who’s still looking for Gonzalo. Sergio says he’s long and that the scattered clothes are from a manly girl. If he has information about Gonzalo he’ll tell her (since we all know she misses him deeply). If only she knew he was hiding…

On the set, Amanda informs the staff that whatever happens stays there as Franco talks to a crying Sol. She’s still trying to get over the disappointment Martin brought her, and he ‘suggests’ work might help her relax. Oh, and even offers her and Diego a weekend to live their love freely. But she’s so sad she doesn’t count that.

Tomas still can’t reach Martin, and Charly calls Sergio to know where Martin is at. Under Gonzalo’s order, he says he has no idea…But the phone is left wide open and Tomas overhears it all. Meanwhile, Sol is hosting the show by herself as Gonzalo lovingly watches from the school. But he isn’t the only one watching: Nuñez and Juan are on that too, theories start cooking.

Amanda and Franco are having a discussion on how to solve the problem, and she says she’s being realistic to do so. As Tomas comes in, Gonzalo’s name pops up and demands to know who this person is. When they start saying that he’s the new director, he doesn’t believe it but don’t ask how, daddy always convinces him that everything is OK.

Ready dinner ad.

As soon as the show finishes, Sol locks herself in her dressing room because of stress to then get go home with Daniela. She still feels awful because she hasn’t learnt anything. And…Lily and Nacho have the night off to themselves. Gonzalo is wasted so Sergio has to take him to bed. Proof that he’s drunk is everything he’s mumbling.

Nacho and Lily are enjoying a nice dinner together when he gets a call from Daniela, but he says it’s his sister instead. In that line, he manages to create something. Amanda sings as she sees Franco by himself drinking in her office, but they share what you could call a romantic moment. Sol tries to sleep, but instead thinks on all the good moments she spent with Gonzalo.

Wait, why Garbarino and Macro bank are advertising in between all this? Weird.

The morning after, Sergio has a hangover, but Gonzalo is sleeping peacefully. So he turns on the TV and Sol’s show comes on. The topic of honesty and stuff is perfect for the timing as she gets a call on the air that touches her. Juan is once again infiltrated inside Mega News as Sergio has gone to the supermarket…to buy booze! It is then when he finds out the card has been voided as he tries to flirt with the chick.

Gonzalo wakes up from his hangover and the first thing he sees is Sol on TV. So he chooses to turn it off instead. Juan is sticking to his cover and he overhears other cleaning employees gossiping about the Sol/Gonzalo fight. Once that is over, he goes to one of these kids to say he’s got an offer. Amanda says she has no novelties on Gonzalo’s whereabouts.

Sergio goes to Mega News to whine about the cards thing, but he can’t get in. He tells the guard he calls Amanda. The offer consisted on that, in exchange for the information, he gets a better paid job. Franco is watching that from his office, and this causes him to feel as if he has a heart attack. Hope he dies, man!

You wanted news? Now you have them. Till next episode!
