Los Exitosos Pells / Episode 27

September 10 Recap.

Sol is at home, watching TV and eating chocolates. She decides to call Diego, who is still sick in bed. She offers him to head there so she can take care of himself, something that she regrets deeply. Diego arrives shortly, and apparently he got the wrong message. Just judge by the fact that accidentally she called him Martin. Sol apologizes, but he thinks she did it on purpose.

At the restaurant, Amanda gets a call from John, the secret admirer. He’s nearby, saying he knows everything about her and building tension. In the meantime, Nuñez and Franco are enjoying some time together at his office. He offers a proposal to her, but Marcela suspects what’s the move behind that.

The next day, ‘Martin’ arrives only to find Diego at the house. Sol greets him with hostility. At M News, Juan tells Nuñez that Esteban (the guy he had met the previous night after the failed casting) is waiting for her. Paldini arrives and explains to Marcela how he did. Marcela decides to take a leap of faith and hires him. He’s going on the air right away, and Juan looks like he doesn’t trust him. Esteban thanks her for the opportunity and leaves. For telling what’s on his mind, Juan gets a slap as Nuñez is happy about her discovery.

Diego arrives to work, which makes Lily happy. At Martin’s dressing room, Gonzalo and Sergio talk about Marina and whether or not she can be trusted. The two friends have quite different opinion: Gonzalo is more open, while Sergio doesn’t have the ability to trust women. Speaking of Marina, she goes to Ricardo and tells him to tell Franco that she knows everything, and that is there to help. The attorney is left in shock.

Paldini goes on the air as Franco, Ricardo and Amanda watch. Andrada asks Amanda who the guy is, but she doesn’t know him and Franco is about to die when he sees the ratings are low. This causes Franco’s rage. Is it just me, or Amanda feels guilty of discarding him? The girls of Mega News watch as well (Lily, Daniela, Jessie and Marina). Not only Alvaro is there to disturb them, but Franco as well. He is out, seeking who let him go.

The Pells are on the air, wrapping up another edition. As soon as the cameras roll off, Sol ignores him and calls Charly to ask for the ratings. He has no choice but to say they lost to M News. On the other end, Nuñez, Juan and Esteban celebrate the victory. The other side of the coin is Mega News. All of them are disappointed, and things only get worse when Franco & Co. get in the set, looking for a head to chop. He says things are going to start changing, and the pressure they’ll be under now will be nothing compared to what’s to come.

Gonzalo gets into Sol’s dressing room to talk about losing to the competition. She realizes he’s acting way too calm, and Gonzalo is screwing up big time by referring to Pells in third person. In another part, Charly is certain that many people will lose their jobs as Sergio is certain he knows the guy. Lily is heading out just as Amanda comes in. If she wants to get a promotion, she’ll have to take charge of the Paldini situation.

At the house, Sol and Diego are sharing dinner and time together. Planes just wants her to shut up about everything for a moment, and Sol associates it to resentment because Nuñez didn’t hire him. Then it’s off to Tomas’ house, where he finds out everything through his informant Charly. As that happens, Gonzalo/Martin arrives and he says he knows everything.

The next morning, Lily and Alvaro go to talk to Franco. There, Lily confesses she was the responsible one. Andrada replies by saying she’s fired. Lily leaves and wants to be alone and cry. Alvaro is shocked and worried for her, so she confesses the deal she cut with Amanda.

Franco is headed out for lunch, when he bumps into Nuñez at the same restaurant. Both act polite for a while, then the threats start flying out. Marcela confesses that Amanda, and not Lily, rejected Paldini at the casting. Back at Mega News, Lily goes to talk to Amanda, but Wedell responds by saying she should wait a couple of days.

Sol is feeling a little paranoid with the consequences of failure just as Amanda receives a call from her secret admirer, who has just invited her to a suite. Franco decides to give Lily a second chance in exchange to bring them back to the top again. It took her nothing to be back in her old self, yelling and calling for a meeting. At M News, Nuñez prepares Juan for the meeting he’ll have with Amanda that night. But Juan looks way too nervous for this, so Marcela solves it with a pill.

Speaking of Amanda, she’s getting prettier and this seems to awaken Franco’s jealousy. And her excuse was BRILLIANT, if you ask me.

Daniela runs off to Sol’s dressing room to let her know that the place is upside down. The makeup artist thinks that Sol should take the opportunity and enjoy it. Her phone rings and it’s Franco, who has summoned her to offer the couple a deal they refuse. Franco believes everything can be solved with threats, apparently. In another part of town, Amanda arrives to the hotel just as Ricardo is keeping tabs on her.

Amanda arrives to the room, filled with rose petals and a bottle of ‘Euphoria’, alongside a letter and necklace. Juan arrives shortly, and doesn’t escape the attorney’s eyes either. Amanda gets nude (and Ricardo enjoys to take pictures) as soon as Juan is at the doorway. Back at Mega News, the Pells are on the air for another show. They say they have big news to share, at the same time Paldini is on the air too. That news is….they’re looking forward to having a baby. But that doesn’t seem to raise the rating numbers. Once the cameras are off, she complains that Franco has no limits and Gonzalo says he would really have a baby with her…if only Diego wasn’t watching that scene…
