September 9th recap.
So we retake it from where we left off: Tomas knocking on the dressing room door as Gonzalo and Marina were making out. The actor makes some time so Marina can hide and then they talk at the door. Tomas says he’s sorry and that they need to talk, but ‘Martin’ doesn’t let him in and sends him to the bar instead. But that’s not all. Remember Sol was there as well, snooping? Well…she sees Gonzalo taking Marina out the door, being the two hidden lovers they are. And let’s just say Sol didn’t take it too well.
Daniela is desperately waiting for Sol to call from the Pells home. But the one that calls is Diego. The make-up artist says Sol isn’t there, making up an excuse for her absence, one that he doesn’t believe. Back at the station, Tomas and Sol bump into each other. Neither wants to really reveal the motive why they’re there. Sol explains that she knows they fought because ‘Martin’ passed by earlier to ask for asylum, which she refused to give. Tomas wants to know why she really hates Martin so much (and the hatred between those two isn’t so polite, however).
Tomas and Martin return to the first’s home, and Gonzalo is upset that he feels so overwhelmed with the pressure. He says that he cheated on purpose because he wanted to show his ex’s true colors. Tomas feels guilty for not putting himself on his shoes, and Gonzalo ends up watching soccer in bed, something suspicious for the real Pells. Simultaneously, Sol tells Daniela everything that happened, including Diego’s call that she has to return out of pure courtesy.
The next day at Mega News, both arrive playing the happy couple. Charly and Tomas are together at the bar with Marina when Sol comes to crash the party. Gonzalo tells Sergio everything that happened last night. He says that it could risk the life they have, but the actor is so in love that all he wants is to try to uncover that secret to get closer to her. Amanda puts Lily more hysterical with more work that makes her more upset. What does she do? Pushes people around and says Amanda needs a boyfriend. Lily has to call Diego, and he mistakes his voice for a stranger’s, all because of the flu. But do you think she cares? He wants him to go to the network right away.
Charly and Tomas talk about Marina’s need for a makeover, and that she may be honest because she looks up to Tomas Lily goes to Amanda to tell him about the situation about finding Diego’s replacement, thing she doesn’t take too well.
Amanda gets a chat message from her secret admirer and starts a conversation just as Gonzalo comes to ask for her help into figuring out what’s up with Sol, but she’s more focused on the heated conversation…the one behind those being Juan, Nuñez’s bitch. I honestly believe Marcela is actually letting her desires free with this trick. Once he leaves, she can chat in peace.
Alvaro goes to look at Daniela at Sol’s dressing room as Sergio asks Gonzalo what he learnt: Nothing. If they can’t get it through those channels, Sergio will have to get the information through Daniela (better said, the actor is feeding his friend’s ego).
At Tomas’ place, he shows Marina around. Tomas says he lives by himself and has to cover all the suspicious tracks. Back at the network, Sergio gets to the conquest of Daniela, but his cheap pick-up lines don’t work on her because she chooses to ignore him. Sol and ‘Martin’ arrive to the set to go on the air.
Amanda is still chatting, even in the middle of a meeting with Ricardo and Franco. Ha! Gotta LOVE the woman! Nuñez and Juan seemed thrilled with this development. Daniela and Lily are both hysterical, so they shout at each other. Back at Tomas’ place, he gets a call and Marina is off to explore other areas of the house. She finds the robe that has ‘M.P.’ in it. I honestly suspect that Marina has more hidden intentions.
Daniela is locked inside just before the air, and no one seems to hear her out. Another show is wrapped, which means the pretending for the cameras is over for the day. Back with the make-up artist, she blames Lily for locking her inside. Sol arrives to the dressing room, feeling like an idiot.
Marina believes her purpose is over and leaves Tomas’ place. That night, she heads to Gonzalo’s dressing room, bringing the evidence found. And if the timing wasn’t bad enough, she asks a tempting question just as Sol is watching. He asks what she was overhearing, but she says it was nothing.
Amanda is conducting interviews to find a new reporter, and so far the interviews suck big time. But among all the bad things, they find the right candidate: A guy named Esteban Paldini. Amanda thinks he was a disaster, though the majority thought otherwise.
Gonzalo and Marina talk about the double life of Pells. But since Franco has a lot of power in his hands, it’s safer that she doesn’t say anything, even though he did all that to protect her. Marina also realizes that he’s in too deep into character, all because he has fallen in love with Sol. In another part, Lily has to pressure Diego into coming to do his job, sick or not…to save her head.
Sol heads to Daniela to rant about how she feels like an idiot. Why? Because she thinks he’s in love with Marina. There’s a knock on the door. It’s Gonzalo, waiting for her so they can head home. I’m impressed that there’s always press outside the house. When they arrive, he grabs her arm and says we need to talk.
At M News, Juan is about to leave when Nuñez says she has a plan, one that involves inviting Amanda out to dinner. Speaking of Amanda, Franco points out that she looks great, but she says she has another date, much to Andrada’s surprise. Speaking of Franco, he receives a call from Nuñez and invites her over.
At the restaurant, Amanda arrives (looks like Audrey Hepburn, by the way) and gets a free cocktail and flowers. Marcela arrives and bumps into Baldini. They both introduce themselves, and he says he did awful in the casting. Nuñez hands him her card and tells her to pass by tomorrow.
Gonzalo insists that they have a deep conversation, but Sol decides to lock herself for a second in her room before agreeing to it. But she can’t see to find him anywhere.
